Correspondence from Rawdon Reilly to his sister Emma Pinckney nee Reilly, 10 May 1895
Rawdon asks how Culla's wedding went and wishes he could have been there. She is lucky to get a home in Eastbourne which has a reputation for healthiness. Louisa is staying in a hotel and has a lot of friends there. The men have seen a tiger in the pass and General Curteis is keen to kill it. Rawdon talks about playing golf which is a good game for a man with a leg like his. Pashtuns from Afghanistan have joined his regiment and their language is most difficult to pronounce.
