This collection mainly consists of photograph albums and films compiled by the Jeans family from their time living in North Borneo (now Sabah) from 1949 to 1963. There is also one earlier album of family photographs compiled by Margaret Payne before she married, dating from 1938. From 1934 to 1949, she lived in the UK and worked as a nurse through WW2.
There are 4 films, 9 photograph albums plus loose photographs, negatives, and some printed material in the collection which show mainly family and local life during that period. Some of the items relate to Clifford Jeans' role in the Public Works Department.
