Set of monochrome panoramic images shot in India, 1994-1999
2017/010/1
A selection of monochrome panoramic images made by the photographer Noel Chanan on a succession of road trips through India during 1994 to 1999. The majority of these images formed part of the inaugural exhibition at the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum on its opening in 2000.
The images were shot on a Russian Horizon 202 camera with clockwork-driven rotating lens, on Ilford film stock, subsequently printed as silver prints with selenium toning.
