  • This collection includes photographs - there are many family portraits plus those of military men who presumably served alongside members of the Reilly family. There is also 1 album containing images taken by or on behalf of Major Noel Edmund Reilly who served in Northern India and Afghanistan during the 3rd Afghan War in 1919. The rest of the collection mainly consists of correspondence from various family members, but the largest run of letters are those addressed to Emma Pinckney (nee Reilly) from her brother Lt Col Rawdon Reilly during his time with the Army in India (1891-1898).

  • This collection contains records from various members and generations of the Reillys, who were a military family. It starts with Bradshaw York Reilly (1807-1853) who was a Major in the Royal Engineers in Bengal, India. Bradshaw York Reilly and his wife Emily Mary (nee Robson) had seven children: Charles Henry, Bradshaw Phillip Lewis, Edmund George, Rawdon Edward Dennys, Emma, Matilda and Clara. Each male member of the family seemed to have served in the military at some point, sometimes in India, and many of them received promotions and commendations for their service. There is further information about specific family members within the detail of the collection.
