Correspondence from Lewis Reilly to his sister Emma Pinckney nee Reilly, 8 October 1882
Lewis is writing from Cairo and is about to leave for Aden. He refers to Nellie's health (his wife Eleanor) and says that although she is sometimes walking 4 miles a day her health is still not what it was. He has been told that the baby is flourishing in the time since he left home. The Indian Troops have nearly all left Egypt to return home. He thinks the Cavalry will have a difficult march back through heavy sand but he will be going by train. General updates about the Indian troops.
