Correspondence from Rawdon Reilly to his sister Emma Pinckney nee Reilly, 9 July 1896
Rawdon does not have much news and is leading a quiet life. The Governor has had his first reception but Rawdon played golf instead with Mr Muir Mackenzie. He is surprised that Phil had gone back to Wiltshire. Rawdon doesn't know where he will go on his furlough. Poona is a bad place for young people; there have been several deaths in Poona (Pune) and Kirkee from illness.
