Correspondence from Major Noel Edmund Reilly to Lt Col Rawdon Reilly, 17 March 1914
Noel thanks his uncle for his kind thoughts in his last letter and apologises for the long wait for his reply. He and his mother have been very busy packing up and selling their things but they are at last off. Their boat P&O Arabia does not leave Bombay (Mumbai) until 4 April and in the meantime they are visiting different places like Delhi and Jaipur. He was excited to see the Taj Mahal and got some very good pictures of it as mementos of their trip. The regiment has changed greatly since he left and he believes he must be the only one left who served under his Uncle Rawdon Reilly.
