The main part of this collection relates to Edmund Hunt Dring (1863-1928) who lived in Calcutta (Kolkata) for a period at the end of the 19th century. He collected photographs of his journeys in that area, and compiled a scrapbook which reflects his activities. See 2002/220/1 for further details.
Also in this collection are letters from John Small, a pharmacist and coconut plantation owner in Jamaica during the 1850s-1880s. See 2002/220/2 for details.
