Intertitle: Gibraltar is a British Colony about 2sq miles in area lying at the western entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. From the west the tree-covered rock is said by some to look like a crouching lion.

06.32 to 06.52 - Low angle shot of The Moorish Castle. The old fortifications.
07.16 to 07.32 - The harbour with its anchored shipping shot from the high vantage point of The Tower of Homage.
07.33 to 08.32 - Mrs Blake feeds the monkeys at Queen Charlotte's Battery.
08.44 to 09.06 - Countryside around the village of San Roque which was built by the Spanish, who were expelled from Gibraltar in 1704.
09.06 to 09.51 - Tour of The Galleries hewn into the Rock together with the ancient cannon and the gun embrasures looking out over the shipping anchorage.
09.51 to 10.25 - Concrete catchment area for water tanks on the side of the Rock. Visit by tourists to the tunnel, which gives access to these.
10.25 to 10.41 - View from high up on the Rock of the fishing village of Catalan Bay with houses on the hillside behind it and fishing boats drawn up on the beach.
10.41 to 11.12 - Stalactites inside St Michael's Cave which is a limestone cave within the area of the Rock.
11.12 to 12.00 - Small quiet Market under way in quiet square in the centre of the town. Furniture stall. Local women selling flowers from their stall. Mrs Blake buys flowers from a street vendor.
12.00 to 13.44 - Busy swimming lido with swimmers diving into water from springboard. Couples playing mixed tennis on quiet hard tennis court. Young boys, in their whites play a formal game of cricket on a ground near the waterside with ships, cranes in the distance. Group of dingy sail boats in the harbour sail past anchored merchant ship. Hectic Polio Match watched by spectators who shelter sitting under trees at the boundary besides their cars.
13.47 to 14.32 - British military band stand informally with their instruments and band master waiting for arrival of small troop of British soldiers who are then lead off in smart march through narrow quiet streets to Government House. British Sentry on duty marches up and down, by his sentry box, in front of the main entrance to Government House. Piece of field artillery is close by. View from high hillside overlooking anchorage. British battleship at anchor amongst some merchant ships.
