  • This collection consists of 60 photographs collected by Javed Salim-Khan, showing family groups/portraits and scenes in Northern India (including Kashmir, Lahore, Kohat) and dating from 1920s to 1940s.

Biographical history
  • Javed Salim Khan was the son of Nawabzadu Khan Abdel Salim-Khan (1907-1957) who was a member of a prominent Indian (later Pakistani) family, and served as an early Pakistani ambassador to several countries. His mother, Begum Salim Khan, was the daughter of Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan, who served as Prime Minister of the Punjab from 1937 to 1942.
