This film looks at the education of black children in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) by providing evidence from various schools probably in Goromonzi District. Scenes can be divided up as follows
1. First shots show rural life, with villagers collecting water and gathering in their crops.
2. Next there is an example of primary school education at a Mission School which has been given government funding.
3. Third section shows a small school at a tobacco farm.
4. Goromonzi Senior school is given as an example of a government school. This was a co-educational boarding school near Salisbury and shots show children playing sports such as cricket and swimming, and taking part in dramatics. The film ends with farewell scenes between the pupils.
