This collection mainly consists of slides taken by Marsh during his time in West Africa. There are also some pamphlets and maps relating to the countries he travelled through.
Warren Marsh worked as a Surveyor in various countries in West Africa from 1956 to 1962. He initially had a 3 month contract with Taylor Woodrow in Lagos, then moved to Ghana to work for Widnell and Trollope where he stayed for over 2 years. In 1959 he moved again to Sierra Leone and worked there until 1962 with his return to the UK. Whilst in West Africa, he spent weekends travelling, and did several long road trips including one to Timbuktu.
